SCREAMING MASTERPIECE AT MEZZANINE
Rehab, the San Francisco Film Society, SFWeekly, and 7X7 Magazine proudly
present the block-rocking documentary Screaming Masterpiece. Directed by
Ari Alexander Egris Magnusson, the documentary traces contemporary Icelandic
pop music back to the country's old medieval sounds. At the edge of the habitable
world, the Icelanders have whiled away the long dark centuries, patiently honing
their caustic humor, and eccentric melodies. Screaming Masterpiece brings it all
together. Performances include Björk, Sugarcubes, Múm, Sigur Rós, Quarashi,
Slowblow and at least one band you’ve never heard of and probably can’t
pronounce.
Doors open at 7:00 pm, program starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $8 at the door, but
you can email info@sf360.org for $5 tickets.
