SILENT SHOUT AT MEZZANINE
Wednesday, 12/19 - Mezzanine, San Francisco CA
Did you say video, music, bands, AND masks?! How could you NOT come to our
next screening? Rehab, the San Francisco Film Society, SF Weekly, and 7X7
magazine proudly present Silent Shout.
It all started in 2006, when the critically acclaimed Swedish band, the Knife,
performed live for the first time. The show, which presents an immersive and
synesthetic experience of visual music, instantly garnered the group a reputation
for innovation. Featuring the work of visual effects artist Andreas Nilsson, the Knife
performs in masks and sometimes silhouetted behind screens, while making use of
sculptural laser lights and animation to bolster the group’s foreboding, apocalyptic
musical aesthetic.
Silent Shout is a video performance intended to capture the intensity of their shows.
Preceded by music videos and a short film, When I Found the Knife. This sounds like the makings of a fun filled night, so why not come out and join us?
Doors open at 7:00 pm. Mezzanine, 444 Jessie Street (at Mint). Tickets $8 at the
door. For $5 tickets email info@sf360.org. Presented by San Francisco Film Society,
Mezzanine and Rehab. Sponsored by SFWeekly and 7x7 magazine. Must be 21+
to attend.
