SXSW TAKE AWAY SHOW SHOOT WITH VINCENT MOON

There’s nothing like waking up in a beautiful Victorian in Texas, having coffee with a talented French director, and having 13 bands knocking at your door ready to perform a private, stripped down acoustic set.

This might not sound like SXSW to most, but director Vincent Moon had very different plans for our featured artists. Soon we had Copenhagen’s Slaraffenland walking around a muddy lake, Paris’s The Rodeo performing in an over grown parking lot, Oakland’s Why? beating on an old school bus, Seattle’s The Blow walking through an abandoned airfield after dark, and London’s Noah and the Whale hiking up a mountain at sunset.

Oh yeah, we also threw all the bands in the back of an old orange Chevy truck wrought with sheep skin and texas sticker for posterity’s sake.

Commissioned by Crackle and produced by Rehab, Vincent moon created one more round of Take Away Shows. Inspired by Texas’ wide-open spaces and overgrown abandoned places, Vincent moon took a far different approach to this series. Stay tuned for our Picturesque meets Dukes of Hazzard SXSW Take Away Shows.
